gettin' down on friday

I have a not-so-secret love for that Rebecca Black song.  And I'm not ashamed to admit it-- I think it's super cute, catchy, and fun!   I've been begging my little sister Kiwi to add it to my ipod running mix for ages (later blog post about my aversion to technology and itunes), but she refuses to.  So, every Friday I pull it up on youtube and give RB another hit, and another second of youtube famedom.  The last two weeks though, I've been jamming out to the glee version, which I found even catchier and more darling than the original.  I hope to convince Kiwi to download it for me this weekend to make a PG-rated soccer CD for Wide World Sports.

I leave tonight for the RV Capital of the World to run a marathon at the crack of dawn tomorrow.  Confession:  I have not properly trained for this.  I set out with the best of intentions, then SouthEast Michigan had the second-rainiest spring ever recorded.  Let's just say that I'm a fair weather runner.  Karma's out to get me -- we've got thunderstorms and rain lined up for tomorrow, so we'll see how my run goes.  Cross your fingers that I don't break my legs.... or get hit by lightning like the giant Jesus statue in Ohio.
